The City of Sydney is seeking a highly skilled Manager to lead the Creative City unit.

This exciting and challenging role will lead the Creative City Team to deliver key outcomes of the City’s cultural strategy, Creative City, and contribute to the delivery of the social, economic and environmental strategies that deliver Sustainable Sydney 2030.

As part of the division’s executive leadership team, the Executive Manager Creative City plays a critical role in demonstrating Sydney as a cultural city, to attract tourism and business investment into Sydney.

You will: provide strategic direction and oversight of the City’s innovative cultural spaces, major events, our leading-edge library network, our grants and sponsorships program and our corporate partnerships.

With relevant tertiary qualifications and a deep understanding of Local Government, you will have extensive knowledge and proven success of the existing and emerging arts and cultural landscape in greater Sydney.

To be successful in this role, you will have exceptional leadership and communication skills, astute political judgement and accountability in decision-making. The ability to work with a variety of key stakeholders at commercial, local, state and federal government levels is essential.
