About the role
The City's Venue Management Team is in the process of transitioning towards a proactive Sales force focussed on strategic business development and building long-term customer relationships across both the corporate and community sectors.
The position is an integral part of the Departments Leadership team and is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic actions to achieve organisational objectives. This includes developing sales strategies; executing result driven promotional activities; identifying target markets, partnerships and business opportunities; cultivating market intelligence; and providing input in to the departments overall strategic direction.
The role is responsible for providing both day-to-day management and long term strategic direction to a performance driven team, setting expectations and accountabilities, KPI's and measurable objectives focussed on qualafiable lead generation, appropriate quality volume, conversion, and yielding revenue opportunities.
Criteria / skills
To succeed, you will have Tertiary qualifications in a relevant business discipline, have extensive industry experience and client network. You will be a strategic thinker with a good understanding of revenue management principles in relation to the venue and event industry. You will be a dynamic leader who can drive change and achieve results.
