This role provides a unique opportunity for an experienced manager to lead the delivery of economic development initiatives that build the resilience of local economies and enhance Sydney's positioning as a globally competitive and innovative city.
In this position, you will lead a dynamic team in the design and implementation of economic programs that support business including marketing and promotion, precinct activations, grants and sponsorships, capacity building initiatives and advocacy campaigns, as well as the development of strategic partnerships with other levels of government, media and corporates.
To succeed in this role you will have significant experience in the implementation of economic development initiatives, with proven experience leading cross-functional teams and projects. Your track-record in stakeholder engagement will be demonstrated by your existing and extensive networks in government and the private sector, and you will understand economic development in a local and global city context.
You will also have relevant tertiary qualifications, at a degree level in economics, business, communications, marketing or a related discipline, with higher degree qualifications desirable.
