Senior ICT Manager 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & implement IT and IC strategy
    • Lead ICT Function ensuring the technology meets business needs
    • Support the establishment and development of ICT Strategy
    • Maintain and support company infrastructure Systems
    • Brief stakeholders on the impact their recommendations will have on the company IT Environment, troubleshooting, IT security
  • Lead the end to end implementation of strategic ICT initiatives
    • Source partners to service ICT Requirements within budget & timeframes
    • Manage ICT Projects/plans and update stakeholders
    • Negotiate appropriate service level agreements and KPIs
    • Design the future state of IT Systems, Framework, Capabilities, equipment
  • Lead the efficient management of the ICT function
    • Forecast and plan for software purchases according to requirements
    • Establish and maintain systems and data standards
    • Review/update policies, procedures, guidelines, manual & documentation
    • Monitor & Report on ICT Support expenses
  • Lead the operations of the Project Management Office (PMO).
    • Refine PMO Practices and establish practices and frameworks
    • Bridge the gap between the IT and Infrastructure team & Business
  • Information Security Advisor- assist and advise staff on ICT Risk & Security
    • Managing security measures for data, internet, email & recovery protection in accordance with Australian risk/security law, policies & requirements
    • Develop and deliver ICT Security awareness training
  • People Leadership- Managing 2 direct reports, third parties, stakeholders, managing staff performance, goals & development

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience in strategic and operational Information Technology Management
  • Experience in Insurance, reinsurance banking or financial services Desired.
  • Strong technical management expertise with a passion for technology
  • Strong knowledge of Security, Privacy, FOI & PID Act
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud environment
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PPT, excel)
  • Working knowledge of WordPress Desired
  • Strong knowledge of current ICT advancements, changes, and trends
  • Experience in delivering for stakeholders, collaboration, personal leadership
  • Experience in shaping strategic thinking, driving results and productivity

Skills and Competencies:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or Management Required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from complex data
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (effective negotiation)
  • Strategic mindset, proactive, solutions focuses, always looking to improve
  • Ability to think strategically and innovatively and interpret insights into actions
  • Resilient with strong ability to build staff and stakeholder relationships
  • Sound skills legislative and regulatory interpretation and application
  • Strong commercial acumen and leadership skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team autonomously
