The Opportunity: 

As a leader and a role model within a high-performance team, your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

You Will

  • Deliver technical and project management leadership on multiple concurrent ESG and Sustainability projects, to ensure the delivery of high-quality, ‘client-ready' project outputs that advance our clients' goals.
  • Able to achieve revenue targets that comprise both Personal Fees and Work Under Management, through strong service delivery and project management.
  • Generate sustained and profitable business performance, through the maintenance of, and building upon, existing and potential client relationships and professional networks, across a range of industry sectors.
  • Promote the relevance and purpose of ESG and Sustainability principles to Urbis' overall business development strategies and brand and reputation.
  • Support a high-performance culture and growing our next generation of consultants, nurturing, and developing individual staff members through effective coaching and mentoring.
  • Keeping abreast of market and policy developments and industry trends affecting the business, and devising strategies to respond; and
  • Build relationships and identifying opportunities to work collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines and business units across the broader firm on cross-disciplinary projects.

About You:  

This position would suit someone who has a minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role, with property and consulting background and a combination of the following competencies: 

  • Bachelor or master's degree of Environmental Science, Economics, Urban Economics, Environmental Engineering and/or Social Science
  • Development and sustainability economics
  • UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
  • Has successfully demonstrated successful ability to develop actionable strategic advice to clients in areas of subject matter expertise.
  • Good understanding and ability to apply ESG and Sustainability principles and techniques to research projects (feasibility, due diligence, economics).
  • Experience to contribute to business development through proactive interaction with existing and potential clients, and industry networks.
  • Exposure to advanced project management skills by managing own projects and that of other team members within agreed timeframe and budget.
  • Demonstrated advanced written and verbal communication skills including producing well written and insightful reports as well as confidence in presenting to internal and external clients.
  • Exposure in applying advanced understanding of market research principles to all projects.
