Head of Retail


Here at Catch we are embarking on an exciting period of growth, as our business grows so does our team, we are seeking a Head of Retail - Home and Office to join our Head Office in Bentleigh East. 

Reporting to the GM of Retail, you'll be responsible for driving the performance and establish the vision of the retail business unit within the greater Catch Strategy.

As a Head of Retail, you'll play an essential role in leading and building a dynamic, performance driven team instilling strong innovation supported by world class practices.

The time is now to be part of the Catch team. No two days are alike, and we are embarking on remarkable growth. You could expect your typical day to include some of the following things:

  • Develop, implement and manage the business unit strategy and budget. 
  • Ensure the product range selection is consistent with the Catch. Merchandise strategy. 
  • Manage merchandise profit, margin and GTV.
  • Review and approve the Buying, Marketing and Merchandise flow business unit strategies.
  • Drive and lead a performance-based culture.
  • Coach, guide and develop all team members, to ensure that both personal and business goals are met.

The skills you’ll have

  • Strong profit focus, results driven and an effective change agent with a good strategic and operational perspective
  • Solid financial, numerical, and analytical skills
  • Ability to interpret act on market trends
  • Solid understanding of the retail market
  • Ability to trade in a business that is reacting quickly to market pressures and to maximise and minimise risk
  • Able to lead and influence others
  • Able to multitask and manage conflicting priorities
  • High attention to detail and solutions-based thinking
  • Calm under pressure and tight deadlines
