• Indicative Total Remuneration: $328,245 - $608,859 p.a. (pro rata) – MD2 - Perm P/T – 22.5 hours per week

A rare opportunity not to be missed, Lyell McEwin & Modbury Hospitals is seeking an experienced Consultant, Haematology, to join a dynamic, supportive, and challenging healthcare environment. In this key role, you will be responsible for providing specialist services to patients, referred to the Haematology Unit in the Northern Adelaide Cancer Centre, with a wide range of Haematology pathology. You will provide a specialist opinion on patients referred for consultation, as well as provide clinical leadership to facilitate and support a team approach to the provision of clinical services. Acting as a positive role model, you will supervise and mentor the clinical practice of trainee medical officers and assist the Head of the Unit in planning and organising the delivery of clinical services. In addition, you will contribute to medical teaching/training programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

You will have an appropriate Specialist Qualifications or equivalent and be eligible for enrolment on the Specialist Register of South Australia. With passion, aptitude and significant experience in the field of Haematology, you will possess skills in the diagnosis and management of Haematology conditions having undertaken specialised training in Haematology. Your experience working within a large teaching hospital will reflect your proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment, in particular to relate well to other medical practitioners, health professionals, patients and the public. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be capable of supervising staff.
