The Queensland Government is recruiting Chief Executive Officers to head up its 17 local health networks which will commence on 1 July 2012.  Each local network will have a CEO who reports to a local Governing Council.

The local health networks are to be established to provide core frontline health service delivery under the Health and Hospital Network Act 2011 as part of the national health reform project, and will be part of the new health system announced recently by the Queensland Premier Anna Bligh that will replace Queensland Health.
