AMP has announced the appointment of Amelia Contstantinidis as Director of Horizons, with responsibility for developing strategic plans and frameworks for advice for planner services across multiple licences.

Ms Contstantinidis replaces Tim Steele in the role, who will transition into his new role as Managing Director of ipac, with both appointments being made immediately.

Under her new role, Ms Contstantinidis will report directly to AMP Director, Advice and Client Solutions Steve Helmich.

Commenting on Ms Constantinidis’ appointment , Mr Helmich said she has been a significant contributor to the development of AMP’s advice business.

“Over the past 10 years, Amelia has made a significant contribution to the strategic direction of AMP’s advice business, having led a number of large, complex, business transformation and change programs," Mr Helmich said. 

“Amelia will bring considerable experience in advice policy and practice support to Horizons, enhancing its commitment to training the next generation of financial planners and supporting them to deliver quality financial advice.”

This announcement forms part of AMP’s review of its advice businesses following its merger with AXA in 2011.
