The Federal Government has announced the appointment of Alison Lansley as the new Director of the National Broadband Network Company (NBN Co).

“Ms Lansley has more than 30 years’ experience as a corporate lawyer and company director. Her appointment will deepen NBN Co’s legal expertise and she will make a great contribution to the board,” Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy Senator Stephen Conroy said.

Ms Lansley was a partner in the Mergers and Acquisitions practice of Mallesons Stephen Jaques for 16 years, and has been extensively involved in the securities market and corporate governance in Australia.

She has served on many boards, including the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Corporation, as well as the Takeovers Panel and the National Listing Committee of the Australian Stock Exchange.
