Former BHP executive Graeme Hunt has been named as the new CEO of Transfield Services following the retirement of former CEO Peter Goode in September.

 

Mr Hunt, who was a long serving senior executive at BHP, has been serving in the role since the end of September.

 

Transfield Services’ Chairman, Tony Shepherd, said the company’s board was pleased to confirm Mr Hunt’s appointment.

 

“As we progressed with our international search it became apparent that Graeme was the best candidate for the role. He knows our business, our customers and has a proven abilityto deliver value for shareholders,” Mr Shepherd said.

 

Mr Hunt thanked the board for the appointment, saying that he enters the role during a key time in the company.
