The Chairman of Count Financial, Barry Lambert, has announced that Andrew Gale has offered his resignation from the positions of Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director and as a Director of the company.

Senior Commonwealth Bank executive David Lane has been selected as the company’s new CEO, effective immediately. The reshuffle comes after the ACCC gave The Commonwealth Bank the green light in its takeover of the wealth management firm.

Mr Lambert expressed his appreciation for the ‘significant contribution’ he made to Count over the previous 20 months.

“Count appreciates Andrew’s work during difficult market conditions and his leadership of the company during the transaction with Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Count wishes Andrew all the best in his future endeavours,” the company said in a statement.
