Council are seeking to appoint a committed professional to the role of Director Corporate & Community Services.

Forming part of Council’s Senior Management Group, the primary responsibility of this challenging role is to drive the strategic planning, financial and service delivery performance of this diverse portfolio, with a strong emphasis on financial sustainability and accountability. Managing a multi-disciplinary team, you will encourage innovation, continuous improvement and cross-organisational collaboration in the pursuit of effective outcomes. As a leader both internally and within the broader community you will actively engage, consult and negotiate to gain co-operation that will enable effective decision making for community planning and service delivery.

The successful candidate has previous management experience in a service delivery or diverse corporate role in Local Government or a similar environment and can demonstrate a sound understanding of strategic business planning, performance measurement processes, budgeting and relevant accounting and financial procedures.

A naturally engaging leader you are comfortable negotiating with government, business and community groups and genuinely committed to providing outstanding, sustainable services to all of West Wimmera’s communities. Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, social science or a related field are preferred.
