Wyndham City is looking for an experienced, collaborative and results-focused leader to provide statutory direction, drive continuous improvement and coordinate the dynamic team within the Town Planning Growth Area Unit.

As a fast-growing municipality, Wyndham City provides you an excellent opportunity to lead a large team of town planners who work within the Priority Development and Subdivision Growth Area Units. The fast paced team oversee a diverse range of land use planning issues and a variety of planning applications that need to be determined in a timely manner.

Reporting to the Manager Town Planning, your key responsibilities will include providing strong leadership to the team and the implementation and administration of statutory planning responsibilities. You will also be responsible for the management of individual and team performance and individuals’ professional development.  You will ensure quality outputs and the provision of high level customer service.

To be successful in the role you will require excellent written and verbal communication skills, competencies in problem solving and negotiation, extensive statutory planning experience and leadership skills.
