On behalf of the Council of the Town of Mosman Park, we are pleased to invite applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer. Mosman Park is a unique and beautiful municipality of approximately 5 square kms with a population of around 9000 people. It is located just 14 kms from Perth and 3 kms from Fremantle.

It is home to 6 of WA’s leading schools, magnificent public open spaces, and some of its residential areas are considered the best in Perth. Mosman Park has the Indian Ocean on its western boundary and the beautiful shores of the Swan River as its eastern boundary. Mosman Park is a Town with a strong and positive reputation for sound governance,community consultation and outstanding service provision. In appointing a new CEO, Council seeks to retain all that is great about the Town whilst also ensuring that its administration benefits from a new approach to leadership, innovation and management. There is a strong focus on delivering services and programs for the community which are both cost effective and sustainable. Importantly, Council seeks to appoint a CEO who is very much aligned with the values and vision of Council and the expectations of the community.

The CEO must be an outstanding administrator and manager of resources, able to build a positive and outcomes focused organisation culture, and be someone who is willing and capable of engaging effectively with elected members, the Mosman Park community, neighbouring Councils and a range of other stakeholders. The ability to proactively develop and manage relationships at all levels is paramount.

Intending applicants should offer experience, qualifications and capabilities consistent with the expectations of a CEO position in Local Government. Council is encouraging of applications from current and aspiring CEO’s, from either the City or the regions. Above all, we seek someone who is eager to make a strong commitment to the Town and its people.

The position is to be offered on the basis of a contract of up to five years. Council will negotiate a total remuneration package in the range of $180,000 to $220,000pa inclusive of salary, superannuation and motor vehicle.
