The Manager Risk and Governance has primary responsibility for leading and managing the implementation and ongoing integration of the organisation's Risk and Governance framework, policies, plans and systems to ensure the organisation's risk management and governance structures are efficient and effective. The position is also responsible for management of the organisation's insurance program and has several statutory reporting roles including in relation to privacy and public interest disclosures.

Reporting to the Director Legal and Governance, your role will have broad scope across both strategic and operational areas. You will work closely with senior leaders in the business to lead the implementation and ongoing integration of the organisation's Risk Management Program (Enterprise Risk) framework, policies, plans and systems to ensure the organisation's risks are effectively managed. You will lead the development and implementation of activities, strategies and frameworks to embed good governance at the City and provide advice and support on governance issues and policies to the Director Legal and Governance and to the organisation.

To be suited to this role you will have demonstrated experience and qualifications in either or both enterprise risk management (with the ability to develop and implement effective enterprise risk management policies, strategies, standards and systems) and governance (with the ability to implement and administer an effective enterprise wide governance system).
